When running Internet Explorer, if I right click on a
link to "open in new window", it will cause the current
window to freeze for about 30 seconds and then will go
back to normal without opening the new page. In Task
Manager it will show "not responding". If I do an "end
task" it will show up as a "hungapp" in the log. I can
run other apps during the time of the "window freeze" and
can run multiple windows of IE, so I know it is not a
memory problem. This trouble will also occur when trying
to click on links from a web page, however, not all links
cause it to freeze. It is possible that the links that
cause it to freeze would normally open a new page and
links that open in the same page work okay. I upgraded to
the IE 6.0 SP1, but it did not clear the trouble. This
problem started after I upgraded to MSN Messenger 6.1.
Since I thought it was the cause, I deleted it using
Add/Remove Programs, but this trouble still exists. Any
assistance to clear this would be appreciated.
