IE 6.0 is corrupted-cannot download anything

My previously updated browser, IE 6.0, and my Outlook
Express 6.0, are both corrupted. Even though the web
browser allows log on, and surfing the internet, I can not
dowload anything, including a repair from microsoft. What
can I do?

Go to "start\ programs\ accessories\ system tools\ system

information\ tools on task bar, First Item on the list
should be internet explorer 6 repair tool. This would be
the procedure for win 98v2. I would assume that the newer
windows os programs have a similar way of trouble
shooting. Their are a lot of broblem fixers in system
tools.

PS run a virus, Swen.A attacks IE6 and OLE6
