I've lost the 'click' sound I used to get when clicking on a URL and so
forth in Internet Explorer. It just disappeared. I haven't loaded any new
software. I am running Windows XP Home Edition and have installed Windows
XP SP2 but that was a few weeks ago and it is only in the last week that the
'click' has disappeared. I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base and
can only find a similar problem referred to for IE5.

Anyone got any ideas, please, on how to fix the problem?

Thanks,

David

Control Panel > Sounds and set "start.wav" (from pull-down menu)
for "Complete Navigation" and "Start Navigation", then click "apply".

Carey,

Thanks very much. That's worked fine and trying out different sounds I've
found that the one I had was the one that is called Windows XP Start.

Regards,

David.
