Identify service packs

I want to store the osversion, .net version and their respective service
pack levels in my data files.

Osversion is "easy"
I assume .net version is environment.version

How about the service pack levels. I have some old code from VB6 which
uses an API call but assume there is a better way.

Any ideas?
