Hi all,

I'm experiencing difficulties with ICS(internet connnection sharing)
on network with Windows XP pro which is the Host computer. The clients
can not get access to internet through the host computer. Before I
never have had such a problem, I am sharing PPoE, using a static ip
addresses on the client computers but there was no problems at all.
After I updated the bios of the motherboard, the lan card which I use
for PPoE connection to my internet service provider changed it's name.
Before it was with "#2" at the end of the name, now it's without it.
This is only thing that was changed. Three days I'm wondering what to
do and trying to fix it but there are no results. Otherwise the
network and shared folders are working perfect. If you can help me I
would highly appreciate it. 10x in advance.

Did you reenable ICS on the PPPoE connection?
Yes. I even reinstall it(ICS) but still the problem persist. Do you
think if I try to change from simple sharing which is default for
windows xp to classical sharing which I've tried but without success,
but maybe there with some settings that I can change to make ICS work
again?

Simple file sharing has nothing to do with ICS as far an internet access
goes. Are you running any firewalls?

Yes. I use ICF (microsoft built in firewall), I disable it to see if
it is the problem , this was one the first things that I was thinking
of but no results. Thanks for the idea, but seems that the problem
is not there. And I don't use other firewalls. That is the strange in
the situation that everithing is made like it's in the books, I mean
the settings. I tried other program which can share my internet
connection and no problems at all. The mistery of this internet
connection sharing remains and I still can't use it. Thanks for
helping me to determine the problem. I welcome every idea which can
help.
