I have a winxp home network (ethernet, wired) one of my client machines
cannot use the ICS connection, and one sems to drop it intermittently. All
clients can connect to the host machine (and other machines on the network)
and the internet gateway is listed in the network connections ( and status
says it is sending/receiving data)
Clients can repair the connection. I have uninstalled my firewall, and I
have actually reformatted the drive and reinstalled windows on one client -
this one is the one that now cannot use ICS at all. When I run the network
setup wizard on the client, it sees the shared internet connection.
I can ping the hosts and clients from each other - I have been through the
steps in the network troubleshooting wizard.
Frankly, I am baffled - any ideas?
Thanks
