ICS choosing access

I have a 3 PC network, one with XP home (connected to the internet) and the others running 98 and ME. Can I set the network so all three can access shared files, but only two (XP and ME) can ordinarily access the internet. If the internet connection could be set with a password, like you can with files, that would sort out what I want to do

Thanks

There's no way to require a password for Internet access.

Here are some ways to do what you want:

1. Configure the TCP/IP settings manually on 98. Specify an IP
address and subnet mask that are compatible with the XP and ME
computers to allow all three to share files. Don't specify a default
gateway or DNS server on 98 to prevent it from accessing the Internet.

2. Install the IPX/SPX protocol on all computers and use it for file
sharing. Un-bind file sharing from TCP/IP on XP and ME, and
un-install TCP/IP on 98.
