Small peer to peer network with ICS enabled on a cable modem connection.
All works fine but with ICF enabled the ICS client PC can no longer access
the web. It seems to resolve DNS but doesn't display pages. I can ping and
get replies from the internet but can't seem to browse webpages. Using IE6
browser. Soon as I disable ICF pages are displayed like lightning.

Any idea's? Its bugging the crap out of me as I want ICF switched on.

Cheers..

On which computer and which network connection are you enabling ICS?

Enable it only on the host computer's cable modem connection. Disable
it on both computers' local area network connections.

I have exactly the same problem as Wes Dryden
I use a USB ADSL modem for ICS on the host
with ICF enabled on this connection the clients on the home network cannot connect to internet; there is no ICF anywhere else than on the ICS host connection
as soon as ICF is disabled the clients recover internet connection even if I enable ICF on their network connection (which I have to disable for correct operation of the home network

Hi, I never got this problem resolved. ICF is enabled only on the host
computer and on the cable connection to the internet. The two PC's can see
each other LAN wise fine. Its just the web connection. The funny thing is.
The only site which I've found to work is google. You can get search
results but cannot get out anywhere else. DNS works and you can even ping
some sites which respond and get a response with or without ICF. Just that
without ICF, webpages are browsing fine but with ICF the browser just says
opening page but never does... ????
