icons have changed.

not as simple as it sound but my kids were playing on my computer and they
have changed the recycle bin, all basic folders, the c drive and many more
folders back to an older looking version of windows. i have tried everything
to change them and they wont change. some one help me please.

Try this...
Right-click a blank area of the desktop, select "Properties", click the "Themes" tab, use the
spin-box to select "Windows XP", then click Apply, OK

You could also try the Repair section and "Rebuild Icons" of TweakUI for XP

R/Click desktop >properties open the Appearance tab, select Windows XP
style from the list
