Can we someone give me the path or location of the Icons Folder?

Generally, there are not separate icons (*.ico) files for programs -
icons are contained in the *.exe file for the particular program.

However, there are more icons in the files shell32.dll and
moricons.dll.

However, You can create your own icons (*ico) files from jpg images
using programs like Irfanview (free).

Where ever the program decided to put them, assuming you chose the default
setting for everything you installed. I have "icon" folders all over the
place, usually in a folder with the installed program, but not always. What
are you trying to do? Post that, and perhaps someone can tell you how.

Thanks for the information.

I'm trying to find the icon for my e-mail (Hotmail). I have it on my Start
menu, its an envelope with the MSN butterfly.

It should be here:

C:\Program Files\MSN\MSNCoreFiles\Install

It is on my system.

you might need to unhide the folders. Are you using XP Professional?

Why do you need the icon? I can email you or I can put it on a website
for you to download.

It is hidden, so ensure your view is set to show hidden files in
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options-View

Thnx , I've got it now. I have programmable keys on my keyboard and when I
press the mail button, I get a pop-up with the generic internet explorer icon
that lauches my e-mail program i.e. hotmail. I would like to change the
association from the generic IE icon to the hotmail icon.
