R roger Jun 2, 2004 #2 Hi hpuser, Cannot get my desktop/startup/icons to show after I have logged on to my laptop (potential virus). How can I biring these back up to rebuild? Click to expand... Press Ctrl + Alt + del and open a new task --> regedit Browse to the key \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer Check if you have an entry called "NoDesktop" and change its value to "0" (Hexadecimal) Good luck
