Icon view

I cannot get the "Icon View" to "stick" in Event Viewer. Each time I go there,
it presents itself in the Tile View, I switch it to the Icons, and it is OK
until I shut down the PC, and then return, at which point the Tile View has
returned. I realize that this is a very minor thing, but it is bugging me that I
cannot correct it. As far as I know, this is the only place where this is the
case, all the other windows stay where I tell them to. Any help would be
appreciated...Thanks.

What operating system? I can't even get an icon view in Event Viewer here on
XP Pro.
