Does anybody know why after SP1, the text associated with
a desktop icon recieves a color background? After the
standard install, the text has no background color, it
goes transparent and allows the dektop wallpaper to go
through. After the SP1 is installed, background color is
applied and I can't figuire out how to remove. Please
help!!!!

Try setting it again...
- right-click My Computer
- choose Properties
- go to the Advanced tab
- click to go to the Performance settings
- go to the Visual Effects tab
- mark the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop" option

- return address is altered slightly to reduce spam.
