Icon by clock

I uninstalled a couple of programs using "Add & Remove
programs" but I now have an Icon by my time clock with a
big red cross on it. I guess it means it has a problem
but if I right or left click on it nothing happens?

Umm, my icon with a big red cross is Norton Anti-Virus. If you pause your
mouse over the icon, what does the text say? In other words, what icon is
causing the problem? Tough to figure out what to do without more
information.

Do not fear the red cross. It is there to protect you, not to punish you.
