Icom became mini window

My internet explore icon has "disappeared" on my desktop and been replaced by
what appears to be, and work like, a mimi explorer window. I cannot close or
delete this mini window and it is displayed in the top center quadrant of my
desktop. A double click to this window open a normal home page display and
it works as usual.

How can I delete this always present mini window and regain my "normal"
desktop icon?

Is that a shortcut or an actual IE connection? If it's a shortcut, then all
you have to do is to right click the actual icon and go to its properties -
then go to change icon.

But if its an actual IE connection that if you right click then it displays
internet properties, go to this link:

Thanks Delbert - I have restored the desktop icon but still have the annoying
mini window - - anymore ideas?

Thanks for sending the file, that window seems to be have imbedded on to your
screen. Can you go to Desktop Settings then Customize Desktop and click on
Web tab, make sure that you uncheck "lock desktop items" on that field. Save
the settings then go back to your desktop then right click then refresh
desktop.

If it still doesnt go away, try changing your screen wallpaper into
something else and see if the window disappears...Let me know.
