I have I386 in my D:\. I am using win2k Pro.
There are 40 machines on my network and all need to be
reformatted. i dont have CD ROM in all those machines. I
need to install fresh 2k on C: using only I386. Sicne
partition is NTFS a bootable floppy wont read it. Clean
install option wont do a clean install, i want to format
the C: drive.
Anyways i can boot from a floppy and format C: and then
fresh install from I386 in D: ??

See the link below on how to install Windows 2000 from floppy disks and how to create
them.

The problem may be in pointing the install to the D drive. I remember doing it once
and I believe I had to modify a .inf file on one of the floppies it created. I can't
recall the name of the file offhand but I remember it was not too hard to find. ---
