I386\asms parameter incorrect

I am trying to replace Windows 2K with XP pro and about 22
minutes into the installation I received the following
error message "I386\asms parameter incorrect". Everytime
I re-boot my pc it goes back to where it left off loading
XP and I cannot get back to windows 2000. Any Ideas?????

This error is usually the result of a bad copy of the original CD, Try the
original, or make another copy.
