B Bob I May 17, 2007 #6 The "file" menu has the Add Password option. Just double click your zipfolder and then file, Add a password. (and don't mislay the one you use!!!)

It works by password-mounting a virtual drive rather than a folder but it's the best freeware I've found in a while. <http://www.truecrypt.org> HTH, John
