I want to password protect my computer but every time
that I try, I get the message: "Must disable Client
Netware Services" (or something close to this). I have
tried to do that several times and it hasn't fixed the
problem. With all the problems of people trying to hack
into our computers, I really want to password protect it.
I am also wondering if because I do amateur Web sites
with FrontPage 2002, could I have misconfigured something?

Thanks so much for any help that anyone could offer,
Carol

You need to clarify your post a little:

- By password-protecting your WinXP session, you're keeping
out people who have physical access to your keyboard. You're
not keeping out hackers - they get in via the network or via
the Internet.

- By installing/enabling a firewall, you're keeping out hackers
but you're not doing anything about people walking past your PC.

Which type of protection are you after?
