I WANT TO DISABLE MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER

I HAVE A COMPAQ P.C. WITH WINDOWS XP.I USE AOL AS MY
INTERNET PROVIDER.MY PROBLEM IS THAT EACH TIME I'M ON LINE
MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER PROVIDED BY COMPAQ STARTS
POPPING UP ALL THESE JUNK.I HAVE BLOCKED OTHER ANNOYING
POP UPS USING AOL, BUT MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER
PROVIDED BY COMPAQ KEEPS ON POPPING UP.IT DISRUPTS ME AND
ITS SO ANNOYING CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME.

Wow.... perhaps you did not know this, but typing in all caps is considered
SHOUTING. Which is generally considered impolite.

Also, posting to this news group (NG), which is a Windows XP Performance and
Maintenance group, is probably not the spot for Internet Explorer issues....
but there is an NG for that topic (there's a group for most any topic you
want).... below is a link to get you to the IE one:

But what might help you most, is to know how to uninstall it:

1) Click START, then Control Panel, then "Add or Remove Programs"
2) On the left column, select "Add/Remove Windows Components"
3) Uncheck Internet Explorer, and follow the prompts.

That does it.
