I accidentally checked the box asking "in the future do not ask this question" about the box that appears when you click on a link to either open from current location or download to specific location. I restored defaults but it is still just opening files instead of asking if I would like to save. I wouldn't mind if it just saved the file but it is just opening which could potentially cause problems down the road. Thanks for your help!

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Folder Options.
Click the File Types tab.
Scroll down to and click the file extension. [say .zip]
Click Advanced.
Verify that Confirm open after download is selected.

I mean before I actually have the file downloaded, that's the text box I need to see again. I may be wrong but I think what you showed me was for after I have the file downloaded already. I want to have the option to save the file instead of just open automatically. Right now I have it set so that when I click on a file name it just opens it and it is not saved anywhere on my computer it just runs off that website. I want to be able to save the file. Thanks and hopefully I explained it right. I haven't been able to find help anywhere online.

Temporary workaround:
Until you get this answered, you should be able to Right Click and select
"Save Target As" to download and save.
