Well it beats Dueling Banjos any day ;-)I always get a chuckle about the dueling OS issue. In any event, yes you
can dual boot XP and Vista. The recommended way is to install the older
OS first, in this case XP, then the newer, but it can be done other way.
Just do a Google Web and Groups search for install XP after Vista or dual
boot XP and Vista for a wealth of info.
First, though, you need to make sure the computer is compatible with XP.
Many manufacturers have certain new models which they are not supporting
in XP - i.e. no drivers.
