i saved unwanted changes to a file. can I retrieve the original f

Please if any one can help me. Is there any way I can recover this file in
its original state?

Not if you've closed the file and don't have a backup.

If you have Word configured to automatically save a backup copy, then you
can revert to "Backup of <filename>.wbk," which will be the previously saved
