Even though it was not installed, it sped up my computer after I removed it.
I was able to run a disk clean up for the first time in a year. My computer
had 52,000 compressed files!

What is your question/problem?

No problems now, SP2 is gone. ;-)

You claim it was not installed, and then you claim you removed it. Can't be
both.
Your computer is at considerable risk with SP2 installed.
Do you have a reputable, updated antivirus program installed?
Do you do spyware and adware scans on a regular basis?

Did you have a question, or are you merely a troll?

(snipped)

I'm pretty sure Bobby meant "Your computer is at considerable risk withOUT
SP2 installed." Err... Or at least I hope that's what he meant.

Galen;

You are correct! Thanks for catching it.

LOL Yeah it just didn't seem your style so I thought I'd post in response.
No worries - if I had a nickel for every time I'd either made a typo or just
flat out answer the most insane question (that wasn't asked) then I'd have
at least enough to buy something cheap but none the less I'd have something.
There's been times when someone's asked one question, I've completely
misread it or answered a question I'd been thinking about from another
poster, and then gone ahead to send it. And no, no... I'm not the only one.
<g> I think most of us have before. Fortunately someone comes along and
fixes my mistakes when I send 'em.
