Today I was getting an error when I was trying to save a document to my local
drive on the network. The error looked like this I\O error trying to read
or write to disk. [-36] If anyone can help me with some info on this I
would really appreciate it.

thanks

Actually it'd be a home drive, not a local drive, if it's on the network.

Semantics aside, that error indicates a network or memory issue, not
necessarily a Windows one. Were you experiencing any network problems
around the same time?

Also, just check that your *real* local drive is not out of space,
particularly on the drive that has the temporary folders.

Go to Start, run, and type %temp% to see which folder Windows is using as
temp space - Explorer will open showing that folder's contents. You should
be able to safely delete its contents, though some items may not want to
delete dependign on what's running.
