I have word 2007 and i need to put check boxes but i cant seem to find it can
someone help me plz

In Word 2007, go to Office button > Word Options > Popular and check the option
to display the Developer tab on the ribbon.

On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, you'll find the Legacy Tools button
is the fourth one in the second row. When you click that, the top row of the
dropdown contains a checkbox button.

After you insert the checkboxes, you need to protect the document for forms to
make them operate. The Protect Document button is further to the right on the
Developer toolbar, and it opens the Protect Document pane. Check the box under
Editing Restrictions and then choose "Filling in forms" in the dropdown. Click
the Start Enforcing Protection button. That will lock the form (see
