I need to know how to turn off spell check for testing purposes.

I need to know how to turn off spell check for testing, this can't be just
going to options and turn off the automatic spell check. When I do this the
student still can use the spell checker, it just doesn't give them options of
the correct spelling, but they will know that the words are spelled wrong.
 
How about removing it from the menubar (customize and drag it away from the
menubar). If needed you can always place it back.
