I need to know how to import a new autoshape into PPT2003 for PC

I'd like to be able to create a new autoshape shape in (illustrator?) and
have it available in PPT to alter and make transparent to match some other
autoshapes I've created. Is this possible?

After you save the picture from illustrator, insert it into powerpoint.
Right click on the picture and click custom animation. Click Add Effect >
Emphasis > Transparency. The amount should be set to 50% automatically. You
can modify it to get a result that you want. Then, set the Start to "After
Previous".
