Instructions on the net have referred to this file, supposedly residing in
Windows\inf folder. This is for editing the file so Windows can support the
Olympus C-3000 camera.

I don't seem to have a \inf folder, nor the srusbusd.inf file. I'm using
Windows XP Home, fully updated. My search fields included hidden files, and
nothing's turned up.

Is there an alternate name for this file?

Ok, thanks Roger and David, I found it. However, Windows is now asking for a
file srusbusd.dll while its installing the camera. It asks for the Windows
CD and after I load it, nothing happens. A search of the contents of the
disc reveals no such file, but there is one called "srusbusd.dl_". I assumed
this was it and directed the install dialog to that, but nothing happens.

Hi fuel,

You're on the right track. you can use the expand utility to expand
this file which is compressed on the XP CD. Go to Start > Run >
msconfig
In the general tab you have a button to expand a file, click that
button and direct it to the XP CD folder where the file is, and expand
it to a folder in your hard drive. Later when you install the camera
and asks for that file, direct it to the folder with the expanded
srusbus.dl_ which should be named now srusbusd.dll

Good luck

The underline at the end of srusbusd.dl_ means that the file is compressed.
You use Expand.exe to uncompress the file to srusbusd.dll to the location
you need it. Sorry, I do not know which folder you need to place the file.
