I need to access my files

How can I access my files from my computer when on a
different network. My computer is behind a Linksys
router. The linksys router has a static public IP and
the PC I need to access has a private IP assigned from
the DHCP. Pelase tell me all I need to do....to inlcude
how to configure it and then to also include what command
I need to enter from the offsite PC to get into my
regular PC. Also I would like not to interupt the
current user of the PC while accessing the files.

Forward TCP Port 1723 to the private LAN IP of the target PC. Also make sure "PPTP Pass Through" is
enabled. Call using the public static IP of the router.

Note that this will work best if you setup a static IP for the target PC. If you use a DHCP assigned
IP for the target PC then port forwarding may fail if the target PC is rebooted and the assigned IP
changes.
