I Need Some Assistance.

Greetings everyone. I have Windows XP and I'm thinking about upgrading my
processor, I have a HP Pavilion Notebook that was purchased back in 2001. I
would really like to upgrade my processor and my video card. Where would I
go to price these things and to have them installed? Your help is
appreciated in advance.
 
There are many places, a few are Buy.com,Nextag.com, Pricewatch.com, these
are business sites with listings for Mobile processors, drives, Videocards
ect.

It's doubtful either can be upgraded on a laptop.
 
For a 2001 hp anything,youre best bet is probably replace the unit.The
biggest problem will be,upgradeing will be so limited because the other
board hardware isnt compatable to the newer processor/video.

Because you have a laptop, the only practical way to do what you
want is to buy a new laptop. Because laptops have very proprietary
hardware designs, the only practical upgrades are the RAM and hard
drive. To upgrade your CPU and video card, you would need to replace
the laptop's motherboard, and the *ONLY* place you might theoretically
find another one that fits into your laptop's case is from HP - not
that they're going to provide one.
