how do you run programs through the recovery console, like i can't get into the computer to install windows again so is there a way were you can install windows through the recovery console because my other windows installiation got deleted when i formatted my drive. PLEASE HELP
 
Can you get into the BIOS? Make sure it is set to boot from CD. Insert your
WinXP CD, and boot up, and try a Repair at the *Second* repair option. Make
sure you have all Printers, scanners, game controllers, etc. disconnected.

You would not want to install XP through the recovery console. If the
windows installation was wiped because of a reformat, just insert the
Windows XP cd into your computer and boot up. The computer when it boots,
should prompt you or automatically to boot from the cd. When it is is done
a menu will appear asking what you would like to do. You should select the
option that entails installing a new version of windows. Do not choose
repair or recovery console.
