I need a read receipt program

I would like a read receipt program for the emails I send out. I do not like
asking for receipts in Outlook Express as the recipients can deny the
request. I used to use MSGTAG and I liked it until my server (Sympatico)
changed the settings and will not allow "localhost" as part of the
configuration which, of course, MSGTAG requires. So now I am looking for
another program which will not change the settings provided by Sympatico and
which preferably works in the background as far as the recipient is
concerned. Has anyone any ideas?

I know this is a longshot, but is there a program you can use to get read
reciepts using Yahoo and Hotmail?
