I need a new mbd.???..do I need to to buy another copy of WXP Pro?

Hi, I had to buy a new mbd. as my SiS 735 chipset wasn't
cutting it re: stability! I bought XP Pro in Nov. 2002. Do
I need to buy a new copy or can I install my Nov. 2002
copy on my new system/mbd.? This may sound like a silly
question, however, how many installs do I get w/XP Pro?
No one has been able to tell me!!!??? Any clarification on
this subject would be greatly appreciated! Michael C.

As long as you purchased a retail version of XP you can install it on as
many systems as you like as long as it's only one system at a time.

However, if you bought an OEM version of XP, you're treading thing ice.
Technically once installed an OEM distro is tied to the hardware. Exactly
what that means is between your lawyers and MS.

If it has been more than 120 days since the last install, it should register
fine via the Internet.

well if you zero out your hard drive each time you install you can do it as
many times as you want but some people would argue that you cant . i have
done it but only by zeroing out the hd so windows install doesnt see that
you have components installed of that edition

There is NO reason to zero out your drive to install windows
"so windows install doesnt see that you have components installed of that
edition"
That's just gibberish and completly false, and on top of that,
does not even make any sense!

somepeople just think they are above the others .
