I made DVD and the edges don't show on the TV. Is there a software that I can use to correct this?

I don't know how it would be done. It may put a border around the DVD
video.

Have you tried adjusting your DVD player or television?

Could it be a problem with the aspect ratio? Also, are the edges cut on
at both left/right sides as well as top/bottom?

Offhand, I would suspect it's an aspect ratio issue, but try using a
video diagnostic tool like GSpot or VideoInspector to check. There's
another nice freeware tool, Aspect 2.1.0.rc1 while not a diagnostic
like the other above tools can help you calculate this value.

Basic aspect ratios are:

1.78.1 [16:9]
2.35:1 [21:9]
1.85.1
1.33.1 [4:3]

For more assistance, I'd highly recommend going to www.videohelp.com
and see what you can find, or else post your query to one of the
relevant forums. Site is very helpful, lots of good advice, excellent
tutorials, and links to all above freeware tools.

Every television has what is called "overscan" that cuts off usually
about 3 to 5% of the picture along the edges. It does this because
most broadcasts have noise along the edges. I suppose it could be
possible to record black borders around the image but I have never
heard of a software fix like this.
