Not good news, I'm afraid. Is it locked against opening or editing? You may
be able to find some software that can tell you what the password is, but
beware of bogus sites or malware.

The reason for a password is to keep unauthorized people from getting at the
content. Having it be bypass-able would defeat that purpose. So it would
seem that you are pretty much out of luck.
There are several companies on-line that advertise password cracking.
However, take the time to check each of these companies out, as Glen said,
there are a lot of unsavory people in the password hacking business.
Is this a very large project?
Is there any chance you saved/emailed a version prior to applying the
password?
Is there any chance you used a password you commonly use?
When all is said and done, it may be easier/cheaper/faster just to re-create
it from scratch. Sorry.
