I still have the package and all of the #s but no windows xp disc. Can I
still do the upsgrade?
I was thinking about doing the home premium. I have 4 kids always doing
homework or games such as Oblivion. All my son does is ebay. Is home
premium the right thing for me?

Hi,

To upgrade, XP has to be installed on the system (no showing of the disk for
a compliance check, this is a change from previous Win versions). If you
have no XP disk it is of no matter provided it is already installed.

Vista Home Premium is fine for your suggested usage.

I forgot to add the product desciption I currently have and want to make
sure it will fit Vista home premium. It's KT DSO Win XP Pro SP2 Eng 1pk

Hi,

Pro will only upgrade to Business or Ultimate. Home Premium would require a
clean installation, but the existing OS should qualify the disk for use on a
custom install.

Problem is, Will, that he/she wants to do an upgrade, not a clean install
with an upgrade disk. This is not about the Product Key or about doing a
clean install with an upgrade disk. Bigger problem is wanting to upgrade XP
Pro with Vista Home Premium, which is not an allowable upgrade path.
