I lost a Word document - help

I emailed myself a document to continue working on at home. When I got home,
I downloaded it, and I forgot to save it as a document on my desktop. As I
worked on it, I continued to save it, but I never remembered to change the
location of the document. It must be in my computer somewhere, but I can't
find it. Is there a way of searching for recent documents?

Hi,

Go to Start
Search
All files and folder
All or part of the file name
Expand "More advanced options" and check next to the following three options:
(check) Search system folders
(check) Search hidden files folders
(check) Search subfolders

If it's a MS Word document search on *.doc

Also consider searching for the file by the date it was created.
