...this isn't the right place to ask for help with my Epson printer but can
anyone point me somewhere good? before you jump in I've tried ALL the usual
troubleshooting, the installation disk, re-installing, the Epson site and
searched for a newsgroup! If anyone has anywhere else of use I'd be
grateful!

Thanks :o)

Hi

What is the problem with your printer? Have you tried posting here:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax

HI, thanks for responding, I haven't tried that one so I will do, thanks :o)
Basically my "out of ink" light is on (not flashing) all the time depsite
trying two new ink cartridges, going through all the troubleshooters and
everything else I've previously listed! I've emailed Epson support but
haven't had a reply yet. It's an Epson Stylus Color 300 and I'm using XP
Pro.

Thanks again :o)

Have you tried uninstalling the printer drivers then restart Windows and
re-install the drivers.

Thanks - tried that now - no luck :o( "there was an error installing your
hardware - may not work properly etc" - and it doesn't :o(

Cheers,
Blurbubble

Sorry it didn't work.

Time to visit the expert in the print and fax newsgroup:

Good luck

Thanks, problem solved (sort of!!) I put out a cry for help to my
Step-father and lo and behold he had a spare (good) printer to replace my
one with :o)

Thanks for all your help anyway,

Blurbubble (who now has a Lexmark 3200 instead of an Epson Stlus Colour
300....) :o)
