I keep getting logged off

Anyone tell me why when I log on to internet (IE6) and about 5 or 6 mins
later I get dropped off.
If I then Log on again I can stay for hours. This happens regularly.

Is this ISP, or IE6 or me or OE or what?
 
It's a virus. I can't remember the name. Maybe someone here can tell you. I
helped a person about 4 weeks ago with the same problem. She couldn't stay
on the internet. So, I downloaded a removal tool from Norton onto a floppy.
Once the virus was fixed, she was able to get back onto the net.

I would have thought that my "always up-to-date MacAfee Virus scan on line "
might have done me good.
Seems to me that I should reconsider my renewal and head of in to Norton
world.
It is also annoying that MacAfee keeps on wanting to "log on" when I'm
Offline and MacAfee just ignore Me.

Rather than Norton, I'd suggest AVG:
