I just changed ISP's to Comcast and I am now received duplicate emails. I've
checked my settings several times and have contacted Comcast. Their response
is that they do not provide support for Outlook and to contact Microsoft.
Help?

What version of Outlook do you have? How many email accounts? Do you get
the duplicate messages in a single send/receive, or do you get more copies
each time you do a send/receive.

I have outlook 2002 with XP. I have two accounts and we are both receiving
duplicate mails. It happens with a reply and without (just random emails).
The only other thing that I can tell you is that I still have my
mindspring.com account but I am not receiving duplicate emails from them
(they are being forwarded).

If you have any anti virus software installed, check the settings for
scanning incoming and outgoing messages.

I'm not sure I understand your situation. You have two accounts, and are
receiving duplicates in both accounts? It sounds like you're saying that
you're getting duplicates of only *certain* email messages, not duplicates
of *all* your messages. Is that correct? Do you get the duplicates during
a single send/receive, or do you get one copy in one send/receive and
another in the next send/receive?

Two of us have the new comcast account and we also have old mindspring
accounts (still active). Both of us receive duplicates of all of the comcast
emails but not of the mindspirng emails. Comcast is forwarding all mindspring
mail.
Also, when I check the mindspring account through earthlink, the comcast
emails are in that account (?). Finally, I took all of the mindspring
connection info off of one computer, only one comcast copy came through.
Unfortunately, on that computer the emails from mindspring are not being
forwarded through comcast.

It sounds like Comcast is forwarding its email to Mindspring, instead of
Mindspring forwarding its messages to Comcast. Comcast can't do anything
by itself with your Mindspring mail - you have to have Mindspring forward
the Mindspring mail to Comcast. Also, have Comcast stop forwarding its
mail to Mindpsring.

But if you have active accounts at both Comcast and Mindspring, why are you
forwarding at all? All that forwarding is going to do is give you
duplicate copies of your messages...

The forwarding was to make the change to comcast. I checked what I used to
do that and it was a system called TrueSwitch. I checked what I had done and
it seems correct, to forward emails from earthlink to comcast. I've emailed
them however. I don't know what else to look at

You'll have to wait for an answer from TrueSwitch - it sounds to me as if
the forwarding is going in the wrong direction.
