Why does the simple database I have set up say File 2000 when I have Office
2002? Will this be a problem when used by other people? When I update to
'03 or '04??

The default file format for both Access 2002 and Access 2003 is the Access
2000 format.

There should be no problem.

By default, Access 2002 creates an Access 2000
project in a Jet 4.0 database. This is so that
the project is compatible with Access 2000.

It does not create a problem for other people:
it is not a problem when you update to '03 or '04

You need to convert to an '02 project if you want
to make an MDE out of the MDB. An 02 MDB or MDE
would not be compatible with Access 2000.
