I had Framework 1.0 in Windows 2000 professional with VS.NET and it worked well until the August 2003 debacle. After the updates that arrived from Microsoft at that time I no longer had a functioning Framework 1.0. And I no longer had ASP.NET no matter what I did. It was just dead dead dead.
Anyway I removed that installation and went back to Windows 2000 Server as a domain controller. I'd like to go straight to Framework 1.1 and VS.NET 2003. But once burned I have a fear of ever trying it again. Has anyone ever made the plunge into VS.NET 2003 on a Windows 2000 domain controller and survived? Thanks.
