I have a question for all to see.

The question I have is how can you recover a file that has been saved on a
damaged disk. The disk error message keeps on coming up, and all it says
that; "the disk media is not recognized. It may not be formatted." after that
is when it suggests that I use the Text Recovery Converter, which I do but
nothing happens.

You might try Spinrite 6. I have used the program since the days of DOS
and it has paid for itself many times over. It fits on a single floppy
and will repair a lot of drives that Windows and and other programs such
as Ghost can not read. I last used it to recover a boot drive with a
lot of new files that I needed to keep. Ghost would not clone the
drive, but running Spinrite fixed the drive so that Ghost cloned it
perfectly.
