I have a partially sent email stuck in my "outbox" (can't delete)

I can't get rid of an email that appears to be caught in my outbox. It
appears to be jamming my entire usage of Outlook for email
 
god, what would we do without "by-the-bookers"...

just Cancel Send/Receive process (it'll try to tell you the message is being
sent and can't be deleted) and then delete the offensive email.
