i have a major problem: i cannot start my WIN XP pro

the following message appears each time i try to start
windows XP pro:
the procedure entry point assocIsDangerous could not be
located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.DLL

Only if starting in safe mode & 'last known good' both fail.
 
That's a good point you should always try safe mode and last known good but
all the cases we have dealt with where this was a problem needed to ether
run a repair install or go into the repair install and replace the files
manually. But try the safe mode and last known good first option first its
always a good idea
