Last week I had to re-install Windows XP and I did not
wan to remove any information. During the installation it
asked me the directory name. By default it showed
C:\WINDOWS. WINDOWS was already corrupt. I made it into
C:\WINDOWS1 during setup. Now I want to get rid of
C:\WINDOWS, rename WIN1 to WINDOWS, and protect all
documents that I have so the next time it boots, I will
not get "Please select your operating system." and I will
not get any other Windows error messages.
How can this be done?
Will anything be lost if I do not back it up?
