Did you at sometime upgrade from Home to Pro, and choose a dual boot setup inadvertently
The simple solution is to edit the .ini file and remove the choice. The best way is to choose one option and then after the system boots restart and choose the other. If you have two Windows systems, both will boot and you should remove the Home installation

Now to edit the .in
Choose Start>Control Panel>Sytem
In the System Properties window, click on the advanced ta
Under Startup and Recovery click on the Settings butto
Under the top section, Default operating system: click on the Edit butto
delete the XP Home entry and you should have something like this left behind

Click on File then sav
