I get an error message when opening an email attachment - Word sh.

I get an error message when I try to open a Word attachment in my email. The
message states that Word has encountered a problem and must be shut down.
Word then goes into shutdown. Any answers?
 
Don't try to open attached Word documents directly from email. You risk
being infected by macro viruses and losing any edits you make to the docs
(because they are saved in a temp folder and deleted when you quit Word).
Instead, right-click and choose Save As. Once the document is saved to your
HD (in your My Documents folder or another document folder), you should be
able to open it in Word (and know where you have it saved).
