I asked in here about creating a shortcut to a new document file. I ask for
an easy way to do it without navigating to find the file. Did not get a good
answer, I'm afraid to say, but I just figured out what to do. So here is a
suggestion if you ever want to create a desktop shortcut to a file you just
created ...
Save the file once, then open the Save dialog box again, right-click on the
new file and drag to the desktop, choose Shortcut Here, and voila! Escape out
of the Save window and you will have a shortcut on your desktop.
